Appling County commissioners approved a set of routine and transactional items at their November meeting, including personnel items, budget amendments, procurement awards and real estate decisions.
Approvals and motions
- Agenda and minutes: The commission approved the meeting agenda with additions and combined and approved October meeting minutes by voice vote.

Real estate and executive-session actions
The board closed an executive session to discuss real estate. Afterward, the board voted to accept conveyance of the Old Armory property (7.2 acres on Highway 1) from the development authority to the Board of Commissioners. Staff also presented recommended contract language to acquire parts of property at 1205 West Park Street for $1,450,000 with $14,500 earnest while due diligence is performed; the commission authorized the chairman to proceed with contract execution pending due diligence.
