Cooke County commissioners approve consent agenda, OK $5,000 for constable vehicle repair and ESO maintenance-tracking feature

Cooke County Commissioners voted unanimously to approve routine business and a trio of operational requests during a meeting that ran from 10:00 a.m. to 10:52 a.m.
The court approved the consent agenda on a 5-0 vote after Commissioner Snuggs moved and Commissioner Seaking seconded the motion. The presiding officer announced, “The consent agenda passes 5 to 0.”
The court also approved a request from the Precinct 2 constable to add $5,000 to vehicle maintenance for a transmission repair on a Ford F-150. The constable described the vehicle’s condition and said the vendor’s estimate was “right at 44,975 or something like that.” Commissioner Hollowell moved to approve the repair funding and Commissioner Snuggs seconded; commissioners discussed using contingency funds to cover the amendment and the motion carried with no opposition.
Separately, staff described a software enhancement to ESO — the county’s patient-care reporting system — that would add maintenance-tracking capability for vehicles and medical equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitors. Staff said the feature will help schedule preventive maintenance and identify equipment trends. The court approved turning on the feature after a motion and second; there were no dissents.
Earlier in the meeting Daryl, the county IT lead, introduced two new IT staffers and acknowledged the retirement of Diane Black after 11 years of service. "Our longtime colleague, Diane Black, has retired," Daryl said, adding thanks for her service. He introduced part-time Jordan Senna (who later self-identified) and full-time Martin Strife and recognized Christian Martinez for managing the meeting stream.
The approvals were procedural and intended to maintain county operations; no new policy or long-term funding commitment was adopted during the votes.
The court moved on to other agenda items after the approvals.
