DuBois County — During the same meeting that hosted an RDA briefing, the DuBois County Council approved several year‑end fiscal items and authorized short‑term administrative action.
Council approved a $45,000 payment for pre‑development work related to a regional sewer district formation. The motion passed by voice vote after a motion to approve and a second.
Separately, the council approved a required transfer of $346,106.95 into a restricted fund established by state law for road preservation. County staff said the transfer restores the statutory restricted balance after an overspend. Ryan moved to approve the transfer; Alex seconded, and the motion passed by voice vote.
The council also approved a small internal grant transfer of $144.73 from travel and training to health insurance for a community corrections adult grant, a motion moved by Ryan and seconded by Doug.
Finally, with auditors finishing year‑end work, council members agreed by consensus to give the council president and auditor the authority to approve any necessary transfers in the following 48–72 hours, with the understanding they will notify the full council thereafter.
All votes recorded at the meeting were voice ayes and no recorded nays were announced.
