Loudon Legion, Loudon Lions to host Toys for Tots drop-off Nov. 29

Loudon Legion, in partnership with the Loudon Lions, will hold a Toys for Tots drop-off on Nov. 29 from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Legion Hall.
Organizers said the drive will coordinate with the Marine Corps Reserve to distribute donated toys and that light refreshments will be available. Volunteers asked donors to provide unwrapped, new toys and suggested consulting the Toys for Tots website for age-specific recommendations; organizers said they will accept donations broadly and do not intend to refuse items.
The board also noted other local needs this season: the police department reported families in need and a request for gift-card donations for fuel, groceries and restaurants; residents were asked to drop such contributions to the department’s designated contact.
