At the Dec. 29 meeting, the Portage County Budget Commission approved a revision to the 2026 public library fund entitlement totaling $5,948,542 and the distribution of that amount among local library entities.

The chair listed the proposed distribution: Portage County Library $2,776,185; Kenfree Library $1,764,932; Reed Memorial Library $1,170,078; and the Portage County Libraries consortium $237,347. A motion to approve the estimates as submitted was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote; the transcript records ayes and no objections.
