Moore City Council on March 17 adopted Resolution No. 10425, which makes multiple changes to the city’s fee schedule including removal of an off-site massage license fee and elimination of a court cost filing fee for certain criminal filings. Staff told the council that the most significant change affects water rates and that the increase is driven by rates charged by Oklahoma City.
City staff (Speaker 7) described the package as an update to several fees and said the city had addressed the off-site massage licensing issue in a prior council meeting. “The most, biggest change that you'll see here is to the water rates, to our various accounts,” staff said. When asked, staff confirmed the water-rate adjustment is driven by Oklahoma City’s rates.
The council moved, seconded and adopted Resolution No. 10425 by roll call. The council also approved Resolution No. 10525 to adopt the schedule of fees and charges effective upon approval and to repeal prior inconsistent fees. The MPWA separately approved a matching fee schedule under Resolution No. 27025 during its recessed session.
