Lincoln County Board approves consent agenda, policies, bills and personnel on unanimous votes

The Lincoln County Board of Education approved a series of routine items at its Nov. 4 meeting, voting unanimously on the consent agenda, policies, unauthorized payments of bills and personnel recommendations.

Consent agenda: The chair introduced the consent agenda (items a–c). Mister Cartwright moved to approve; Miss McComas seconded. The board voted 5–0 to approve the consent agenda.

Policies: The board considered 10 policies that had completed a 30‑day public review. Mister Cartwright moved to approve the policies and Miss Burns seconded; the policies were adopted on a 5–0 vote.

Unauthorized payment of bills: The board approved the allowance for unauthorized payment of bills after a motion by Miss Burns, seconded by Mister Mosteller; the motion passed unanimously.

Personnel: The personnel slate (the "blue sheet") was presented; Mister Cartwright moved and Mister Mosteller seconded approval. The board approved the personnel items 5–0, including the hiring of a wrestling coach for Dame Baker as listed on the personnel form.

Procedural notes: Motions and seconds were recorded in the public minutes; roll call votes recorded "yes/yay" from all five members present or participating by phone (Cartwright, Burns, Mosteller, McComas, Wilson). The board set its next regular meeting for Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, at 6 p.m. at West Hamlin Elementary and adjourned at 6:29 p.m.

No board member proposed substantive policy changes or held separate votes on bond or major budget items during this meeting.
