Director Rooker and staff said NDOT provides a weekly road-closure report (typically late on Friday), that the information is posted on the NDOT website and that staff will circulate the report to commission-licensed operators as soon as it is received. Commissioners suggested using pushed notifications such as email chains or social media to distribute closure information rather than relying on operators to look it up.
Staff also said they will work with NDOT and relevant parties to improve timeliness where possible and will include road-closure notices for weekend and upcoming-week planning. Operators asked staff to consider an aggregated distribution list and to push notifications in advance where feasible.
The commission directed staff to share the existing closure resource link and to try to accelerate internal distribution when the weekly report becomes available.
