County staff seeks approval to transition county purchasing cards to US Bank under new state contract

The staff packet included the US Bank contract and staff noted potential benefits such as a vendor rebate program.
Staff emphasized counties are not strictly required to use the state-approved vendor but that choosing an alternative would require a local procurement/bid process. The court placed a motion on the record to proceed with the application and transition steps; the motion was made and seconded on the record.
A staff member also noted fraud-prevention and vendor-service considerations and said Kristen in the office attended training on the transition process and would assist with implementation.
Next steps: staff will complete the state application and return with final contract paperwork and implementation steps for the card transition.
