Pomona Unified celebrates PBIS milestones: 30 schools recognized by state

Dr. Schon said 30 schools completed rigorous walkthroughs and fidelity assessments this year, placing Pomona Unified among the top districts in Los Angeles County for PBIS participation and sustained excellence. Six schools advanced from gold to platinum and one school moved from bronze to gold; La Verne (LaVerne) began PBIS this year and reached silver.
Dr. Ed Resnick of the Los Angeles County Office of Education thanked the district for its partnership and highlighted that none of the district’s schools received a bronze rating this cycle.
Board members and the superintendent congratulated staff, coaches and students for the sustained work involved in school culture and behavior systems.
