At its Nov. 19 meeting the Fallbrook Union High School District Board approved a package of facilities actions covering ongoing CTE construction, a battery energy storage system project, and several project closeouts.
Grant applications: The board approved resolutions (listed as 06‑2526, 07‑2526 and 08‑2526 in the meeting) to apply for Career Technical Education Facilities Program funding to support career-technical projects. The motion was moved, seconded and adopted on a roll‑call vote.
CTE lease-leaseback amendment: Trustees approved Amendment No. 6 to the site lease/leaseback with Erickson Hall Construction Company (LLB #2223‑03) for the CTE project at Fallbrook High School. The board later approved a related notice of completion, release of retention, and memorandum of commencement for that same Erickson Hall contract as the project advances to the next administrative milestone.
BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) project: The board approved awarding laboratory-of-record services for the BESS project to Curry Engineering and Testing Inc. and approved TYR Inc. as inspector-of-record for the same project. Both awards were presented as recommended actions and passed on roll‑call votes.
Notices of completion and releases: Trustees approved a notice of completion and release of retention with American Modular Systems for the field restrooms project, and separately approved a notice of completion and retention release for bid #2324‑02 with MACGC Electric for the cafeteria electrical upgrades. Several board members noted these approvals represent construction completions after years of campus modernization work.
Voting and next steps: All motions were moved, seconded and approved on roll-call votes where recorded. Staff indicated the approvals allow the district to proceed with final closeout tasks and to document completed work for state reimbursement and future grant applications.
