Oak Harbor planning commission meeting canceled for lack of a quorum; new member introduced

The member said the gathering would also mark their final meeting: “this will be my last meeting. My tenure is up,” they said, and offered thanks to Sarah Heller for her work on the commission.
The speaker introduced Jeffrey Ward as “our newest member of the Planning Commission.” The announcement did not include additional details about Ward’s appointment or whether he will be formally seated at a later date.
The speaker urged residents to consider serving on the commission, saying the body is a way for the public to “see what’s going on in the city of Oak Harbor” and learn how technical decisions are made. They directed interested applicants to the city website for opportunities to serve.
