Wildman said ISR’s 2024 thrift store net proceeds were $203,000 and that ISR operates on a roughly $3.6 million annual budget, about 44% of which comes from government funding.
Wildman warned that proposed federal cuts to health and human services would be “existential” if implemented, noting staff modeled scenarios when an earlier funding threat emerged in late 2024. He described adaptive steps — partnerships with other nonprofits, expanded volunteer recruitment (ISR reported roughly 274 countywide volunteers for key services), and social‑enterprise ideas aimed at reducing reliance on federal dollars.
Wildman encouraged council engagement and local support: "We are looking for volunteers and donations," he said, and provided contact information for follow‑up. He told the council ISR would make the statistics available to local partners.
