Franklin Park records $183,000 sewer tap payment; dye-test reimbursement dispute unresolved

Later in the meeting Speaker 6 described a repeated request by a contractor for payment of a dye test performed on a house the borough says was not the subject of the original request. “We we don't pay for dye test. MTSA does,” Speaker 6 said, adding that the contractor keeps asking the borough for payment even though staff say the sewage authority is responsible and the contractor performed the test on the wrong property.
Councilors said MTSA handles dye-test payments and that the contractor’s claim stems from a mistaken test on an unintended house; the issue remained unresolved in this meeting and was presented as an ongoing administrative dispute rather than a matter put to a formal vote.
