Gilbert council honors Town Manager Patrick Banger after 14 years of service

The Gilbert Town Council on Dec. 16 adopted a resolution commending Town Manager Patrick Banger for 14 years of service to the town. Mayor Scott Anderson read the resolution recognizing Banger’s leadership in economic development, park projects, public safety enhancements and open-data transparency.
Banger accepted the recognition and thanked elected officials, the executive team and the town’s roughly 1,850 employees for their role in the town’s accomplishments. "Everything that we accomplished, their fingerprints are all over that," he said, adding that he and his family were grateful for their time in Gilbert.
Council moved and adopted the resolution by voice vote during the meeting’s opening presentations. The resolution language included references to bond ratings, major parks and investments and the town’s reputation for safety and quality of life. Council invited Banger and staff for a photo with the resolution.
The presentation preceded the evening’s substantive rate and administrative items. Banger closes his final council meeting with staff recognitions and a series of department highlights before his departure from the town manager role.
