Counsel said Bedford Heights and other local prosecutors have historically covered one another if someone is unavailable and suggested John Montello (Bedford’s law director) as a logical interim contact if necessary. Council members asked whether McGee would retain her Bedford Heights position; counsel and respondents indicated that whether she remains with Bedford Heights is up to that jurisdiction, and that continuity arrangements exist through mutual coverage.
On the engineer ordinance, council placed the appointment on first reading and did not record substantive debate in this segment.
