"I think that simplifies the issues on noise while also being empathetic to, you know, regular neighbor issues so they can address them properly," said Councilmember Kyle Shank during the discussion. Both measures carried after council members voted 'Aye.'
The parks amendment (listed in the record as Ordinance 2025-03) was presented without substantive alteration from prior drafts, and council members were directed to review the posted ordinance text online for specific language. The noise amendment (recorded as Ordinance 2025-04) includes a modest extension to the time window used for enforcement and a small set of wording clarifications the council described as non‑drastic.
Neither ordinance’s full text was read aloud in the meeting; council members encouraged residents with questions to consult the borough’s online agenda packet or to speak with borough staff after the meeting.
The council adopted both ordinances by unanimous voice vote. The ordinances will be posted with their official text and effective dates in the borough’s public records.
