Mohave County trustees heard a presentation on FedLogic, a vendor that helps employees navigate federal and state benefit programs and may be contracted to supplement HR services.
John Hatz summarized the service: "What FedLogic does is they're a team of experts, that focus on federal and state government programs that guide employees through that complicated process of finding benefits that they may not know exist." He said the county-backup materials list a proposed cost of about $40,000 per year and include case studies.
Trustees asked how employees would access the service; Hatz said FedLogic would be included in county communications, new‑hire materials and HR referrals and that staff would rely on FedLogic for direct employee outreach. Trustees also asked whether the vendor could demonstrate return on investment specific to Mohave County; Hatz said general presentations are scheduled and staff will arrange vendor sessions — including the possibility of a Mohave-tailored presentation — before any contracting decision.
No contract was approved at the meeting. Staff said they will send links to general FedLogic presentations already scheduled and can invite the vendor to present at the renewal conference or another tailored session to deliver Mohave-specific data for the trustees to evaluate.
