Tippecanoe County commissioners on Dec. 29 approved an amendment to the county's professional services agreement with Proactive MSO LLC to add pharmacy services for employees.

County staff said pharmacists on Proactive's team will help employees obtain no‑cost or reduced‑cost alternatives for higher‑priced, non–name‑brand medications. Speaker 5 described the change as "a pharmacy addendum" and said it "could save us approximately $600,000 in the first year." Speaker 5 also stated the county's monthly fee would be "$18.45."

Speaker 3 moved to approve the amendment "as outlined by our HR director," and the board voted to approve the change. The board reviewed an unsigned copy of the addendum at the meeting; staff did not provide a final executed contract during the session.
