Beaver County commissioners adopted the county's 2026 operating budget at their Dec. 16 meeting after a staff presentation and a public hearing that drew no public comment.
Ginger, county budget staff, told the commission the 2026 budget incorporates the county's new pay plan for salaries and that many grant-funded and capital projects are included. She said the budget largely follows last year's allocations and reflected months of review by staff and elected officials. "This is the first year that we've used the pay plan as far as salaries and stuff," Ginger said during her presentation.
Ginger and accounting staff said the total of all funds in the proposed budget is $30,470,001.51. The budget book presented to the commission was made publicly available on the county accounting website under the budget/quick‑view section.
Commissioners asked procedural and programmatic questions; no members of the public offered comment during the hearing. After discussion the board moved to adopt Resolution 2025-23 to approve the 2026 budget; the motion passed by voice vote.
The commission closed the public hearing and noted the budget documents will serve as the county's adopted fiscal plan for 2026. The county did not provide an unambiguous line-item figure for the general fund in the meeting transcript; county staff indicated the detailed budget book contains the full general-fund amount.
What's next: county staff will post the adopted budget documents online and proceed with implementation of items and capital projects identified in the book.
