Prosecutor contract: The commission authorized the city manager to contract with the Erie County Prosecutor’s Office to provide prosecutorial services to the municipal court starting Jan. 1, 2026. Mister Hastings explained the county arrangement is expected to reduce the city’s costs by lowering health-care and PERS obligations tied to an in-house prosecutor; the contract includes an automatic one-year renewal unless either party gives 90 days’ notice and a six-month cancellation clause.…
