Village of Riverwoods to add accounting manager; fire district reimburses village for Federal Life Demo costs

Finance Director Vasquez told trustees the village’s offer of employment to Jamice Scott was accepted and that Scott will begin as accounting manager on Dec. 15. Vasquez summarized Scott’s municipal experience in Lake Forest, prior work as an account clerk, and said she holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an MBA from Southern Illinois University. "Our new employee is Jamice Scott," Vasquez said, adding that she is familiar with the village’s accounting software and should transition quickly.
Vasquez also reported that the local fire district has reimbursed the village for its portion of the Federal Life Demo project and associated property taxes, a reimbursement staff appreciated because it allows those expenses and revenues to remain in the same fiscal year from an accounting perspective.
Trustees offered brief thanks for the reports and had no additional questions.
