Chief Judge Christopher Patterson entered an administrative order naming Tanya Knox as ad interim clerk, the meeting record shows. An official said Knox has decades of experience in the office and will serve until the governor appoints a successor or an election is held.
Commissioners voiced gratitude for the clerk's long service and wished her well in retirement; staff said they would support the interim transition to ensure continuity of services.
