During a public hearing, city parks staff described a final plat showing that the Millpoint Homeowners Association plans to dedicate a parcel to the City of Red Bank that includes a privately held historical cemetery.
Nora, a city staff member, said Parks and Recreation and TPL previously briefed the commission on the project and that the donation will be incorporated into the city parks system as part of the disposition and acquisition process. "This is the last process of the ordinance for the acquisition from disposition of public property," Nora said.
The commission opened the public hearing and read the public-comment guidelines; no members of the public spoke and the hearing was closed. The record shows staff presented the plat and framed the donation as a transfer of ownership of a historical cemetery to the city for incorporation into park lands.
Next steps: Because this was a public hearing on the plat, final administrative and ordinance steps may follow as required by city code and the commission’s adoption process.
