After public comment supporting the club’s role in youth development and coaching pipelines, the council voted to approve the $3,000 contribution. The motion carried with one abstention.
Council and staff emphasized the club’s volunteer coaching history and pipeline role for local lifeguard staffing, and staff noted that the club submits follow‑up reports as required by the fund policy.
