Wichita County Commissioners voted unanimously on Dec. 30 to approve the consent agenda, including a flooring procurement update for a county office suite.

Officials explained that the original vendor quotes had been based on a smaller square footage estimate. After correcting for the actual square footage of the IT suite and lobby, the updated Wagner carpet quote was $16,006.23, compared with a Texas Flooring quote of $22,001.35. The clerk explained the revised Wagner price was still substantially lower than the Texas Flooring bid.

A motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Commissioner Beauchamp and seconded by Commissioner Ben Cannon; the motion carried 4-0.

Next steps: Staff will finalize the vendor selection and schedule installation as appropriate under the consent authorization.
