The Cowlitz County Board of Commissioners approved a consent agenda that grouped permits, hearing notices, procurement solicitations and contract updates.
Key consent items included a call for hearing on the Cooper Hill Subdivision scheduled for Jan. 13, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., and a request for proposals for landfill gas management services with bids scheduled for Jan. 29, 2026, at 3 p.m. Chair (S1) described the landfill contractor’s role as monitoring the landfill, reporting data to the state and keeping the county in compliance.
Contract updates in the consent package included Change Order No. 3 for South Cloverdale Road adding gravel backfill and increasing that contract by $6,300, and a completion letter for DeWitt Construction on Italian Creek Road, which Chair S1 said came in "a little over 404,000," about $40,000 under expectations. The board also reviewed an addendum and sublease related to the Cowlitz Public Shooting Range and posted the county’s 2026 open public meeting calendar.
Vouchers presented for approval totaled $1,848,026.60.
The board moved and approved the consent agenda by voice vote.
