Commissioner Klute reviewed the city’s solid waste holiday schedule and reminded residents of collection adjustments for the New Year holiday week. The schedule read by Klute was: Wednesday, Dec. 31 (New Year's Eve) — regular hours, 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.; Thursday, Jan. 1 — closed all day; Friday, Jan. 2 — regular hours, 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 3 — regular hours, 9:00 a.m. to 12:55 p.m. Residents on Thursday routes were asked to place trash out Tuesday night for pickup on Wednesday.

Staff also confirmed city offices will be closed for the New Year’s holiday and will reopen Friday at 8 a.m. The clerk noted a special commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 31 at noon and asked commissioners to mark their calendars.

The meeting concluded and the commission adjourned after completing business.
