The Lassen County Board of Supervisors certified the county’s November 4 election results after the Assistant County Clerk-Recorder, Sarah Howell, explained the precinct identifiers and answered supervisors’ questions about how precinct codes map to local polling places.
Howell said the identifiers in the report correspond to precincts and that consolidated precincts ("CP") and mail-ballot precincts ("MB") are reported differently in the county’s election-management system. "These are the identifiers for the actual precincts themselves that have the all the address information," Howell said, describing how the county’s reporting system ties the identifiers to maps and polling locations.
Supervisors also corrected an attendance/venue line in the minutes (clarifying which recreation district was referenced for a supervisor’s attendance) and approved the minutes as amended. The pulled consent calendar item (G1) was returned to the agenda and approved after Howell’s explanations.
