County commissioners agree to send support letter for Wilderness Land Trust land purchases

Commissioners discussed local elk habitat and agreed that local written support is useful for the BLM’s acquisition process, which Condie said will likely take several years. A motion to send a county letter of support carried by voice vote, and staff agreed to accept the trust’s template and return a signed letter for the trust’s files.
The board recorded the action as a county letter supporting the Wilderness Land Trust’s efforts to move the parcels into public ownership, with staff instructed to coordinate the final text and signature routing.
