Marshall County supervisors on Dec. 17 approved a set of routine and infrastructure actions including a federal-aid funding agreement for Bridge 060-6, a road maintenance agreement tied to construction of the Beverly transmission lines, and a county adoption of national incident-management standards.
The board approved a federal-aid funding agreement (FHW A number 241835) to replace Bridge 060-6 on Oaks Avenue over South Timber Creek. Polk County engineer Paul Gallant said the structure has deterioration in the abutments and that the project is programmed for fiscal 2027. "It's a highly used truck route especially during harvest," Gallant said, adding the county will front costs under BROS funding and receive state reimbursement.
