County approves Clay County Connection phase 3 funding agreement combining TAP and state grants

Staff said the package brings together the two funding sources under federal-aid rules and requires the county to comply with Iowa DOT processes. “Between the two funding sources, we have close to $570,000,” a staff member said while describing the match obligations and federal-aid requirements.
A supervisor moved to approve the agreement; the motion passed on a unanimous roll-call vote. County staff said the combined funds will support design and construction for the trail section and that the county will provide required local matching funds under the grant terms.
