Board members said the county requires documentation before changing its official paper and typically sets that designation at the first meeting of the year. Supervisors asked the applicant to submit a letter and supporting subscriber statements in December so the board can include the request in the January packet and vote then.
Board members noted the governor recently changed the statutory interval for eligibility from two years to one year and said the clerk’s office will review the required statement of ownership and subscriber counts when provided. No formal decision was made at the Oct. 28 meeting.
