Wickliffe announces resignation of employee Terry Ness; council offers thanks

City officials announced at the Dec. 15 Wickliffe City Council meeting that longtime city employee Terry Ness has resigned after accepting a position in another municipality. The resignation was read into the record and council members and staff offered public thanks for Ness' service and wished him well.
During department reports Fire Director Mattis said Ness had accepted a job elsewhere and that his last day with the city will be Dec. 26. Officials said the city has posted the job opening on the municipal website.
Council members and the mayor expressed gratitude to staff and to outgoing elected leaders during the meeting; the council also noted an organizational meeting scheduled for Jan. 5, 2026.
