Resident tells board rising tax share and enrollment losses demand consolidation discussion

Molling gave his address on the record and said his Social Security rose 2.8% for 2026 while his taxes increased substantially, asserting that the West Allis–West Milwaukee portion of his tax bill had risen to consume a large share of his total bill. He told the board that the district has lost students across multiple years and urged consolidation of buildings and greater fiscal efficiency in response to declining enrollment and aging facilities.
The board did not take action during public comment; the chair reminded residents that the board cannot debate or act on items during public comment and that follow-up may be provided through the superintendent at the next regular board meeting.
