The Village of Peachtree board voted to approve a community benefit agreement with Spirit Property Management LLC and authorized the Village President to sign the document.
A trustee described edits to the agreement that explicitly allow a previously made $100,000 payment to be used for public safety projects, park improvement projects or public road projects, noting the language provides flexibility depending on the timing of the payment. "Most notably, we put some language in the documents so that the $100,000 payment we've made could be used for public safety projects, park improvement projects, and or public road projects," the trustee said.
The motion to approve the agreement was moved, seconded and carried by roll-call vote with affirmative responses recorded for Terry, Smith, Krauss, Kate Jenco, Stacy and Gardner. The trustee presenting said the funds will be used for capital improvements; the board did not specify particular projects at this meeting.
The board also voted to adjourn into executive session to review executive session minutes and discuss personnel matters following the vote on the agreement.
