County staff requested authority to issue bids and award a construction contract for the Falling Creek sewer pump station. Eric (presented by the chair) summarized the project: new sanitary sewer service to serve a proposed social services building at Fallen Creek, collection from existing county buildings on site (including the sheriff’s office and a shelter), a new pump station, gravity sewer lines to the station and a force main to tie into existing infrastructure.
Eric said the design firm (Spectrum) provided a project update to the board at a prior work session and that capacity was included to accommodate the sheriff's office expansion and potential future county development on the property. Supervisor Parker moved to approve resolution R120925‑eleven authorizing bid issuance and award; the motion passed by recorded vote.
The authorization allows staff to advertise and seek bids and return with a contract award for board action per the county procurement process.
