The Centre County Board of Commissioners on the morning of the meeting approved several administrative items on a largely uncontested consent track, including a small external evaluation contract, a lease renewal, an Act 148 children and youth services report and a package of appointments and reappointments.

John, a county staff member who presented the evaluation proposal, said the contract total is $15,000 and would cover work during 2026. "We've performed external evaluations of several of our departments, and it's kind of nice to get that outside perspective and it helps us identify areas of efficiency," he said.

The board voted to approve the contract with Pracademic Partners after Commissioner Concepcioni moved for approval and the chair seconded. The motion passed by voice vote.

Julie, human services staff, brought forward the Act 148 fourth‑quarter report for Children and Youth Services — the standard state report on expenditures and clients served for fiscal year 2025–26 — and the board approved the report by voice vote after a motion and second.

Julie also requested approval of a lease renewal with Service Access Management Inc. for space at the Community Services Building. Finance and staff set the monthly charge at $1,690 beginning Jan. 1. Commissioner Concepcioni moved to approve the lease; the motion was seconded and carried.

The board approved a medium-sized consent agenda and a smaller check run dated Dec. 23 after motions and voice votes.

Staff read a list of appointments, reappointments and term expirations across county authorities and boards. Among the items listed were the reappointment of Patrick Leary to the Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority (term 01/01/2026–12/31/2030); the reappointment of Kelsey Scott to the Centre County Hospital Authority (01/01/2026–12/31/2030); David Gray to the Centre County Airport Authority (01/01/2026–12/31/2030); and multiple reappointments and expirations on the county mental‑health and drug‑and‑alcohol advisory boards. A motion to approve the appointments and term expirations passed by voice vote.

The board scheduled an executive session after the public meeting to discuss personnel and legal matters.
