Interim Road and Bridge Director Larry Brungert presented Sourcewell cooperative purchasing quotes from Foley Equipment and explained trade-in and auction options for the outgoing units. Foley provided pricing and an extended seven-year/7,000-hour warranty option. The board approved staff’s recommendation to buy both graders, authorize the county administrator to sign the contract, and begin an auction process for the older units. Commissioners also approved the asphalt recycler purchase to increase operational self-sufficiency; staff noted roughly 16,000 tons of millings in county inventory could be used.
