Finney County approves multiple plats, beverage licenses and new county .gov domain authorization

At its Dec. 15 meeting, the Finney County Board approved several routine land‑use and licensing items on the agenda.
The board approved the third submittal parcel plat for the Turner Burrito Estate (approximately 8.74 acres at 13130 Jenny Barker Road) following a planning commission recommendation. The board also approved the Martin's Industrial Addition parcel plot, a replat of Lot 1, Block 3, IX Ranch (approximately 1.85 acres at 7375 Turner Avenue), to allow construction of an additional building.
The county clerk presented one delinquent account in Sewer District No. 2 related to a 2012 lateral and recommended placing the amount on the 2025 tax roll as a special assessment under KSA 19‑27a11; the board authorized the chair to sign the order.
The clerk also presented two cereal malt beverage license applications (Hobo Truckstop No. 2 and J Mart No. 1) that met licensing requirements; the board approved both. The board additionally conditionally approved a license for Maverick Truck Stop contingent on receipt and clerk verification of outstanding state paperwork so the applicant would not lapse when its current license expires Dec. 31.
Separately, staff requested authorization for the chair to sign paperwork requesting responsibility for the .gov domain finneycountykansas.gov. The clerk noted that .gov domains are available at no charge to qualifying U.S. government entities and that the registration would improve trust and security of county online services. The board authorized the chair to sign the letter requesting responsibility for the domain.
