The court was informed there were no appropriation transfers, only budgeted bank transfers; the transfers were approved by motion and voice vote. A motion to pay the county's bills was offered, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Road Department staff described a New Hope Road culvert replacement that followed a state inspection reducing the bridge's posted tonnage from 18 tons to 3 tons, a change that prevented school buses and emergency vehicles from using the crossing. County crews removed the old culvert, a step the road department estimated saved about $11,000 in demolition costs. The county secured funding through the County/City Bridge Program and contracted engineering for the replacement and installation. Heavy rain filled the excavation and caused work to be restarted, but the road was reopened with some shouldering and finishing work remaining.
The court later approved a motion to enter an executive session for litigation and personnel matters under Kentucky open-meetings law; the motion passed on a voice vote. The court reconvened and adjourned by motion and voice vote.
