Pamela Matassa reported that the SALT (Seniors and Lawmen Together) annual Christmas luncheon brought together more than 750 senior citizens from across the parish. The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office cook team prepared the meal, and more than 30 Ascension Parish government employees volunteered to serve and greet guests.

The segment noted live music by the Kenny Fife Band and that the event is a community tradition aimed at connection and holiday support for seniors. No policy changes, funding announcements or formal government actions were made during the item.
