During its Sept. 23 session the Lafourche Parish Council approved a series of ordinances and resolutions with little or no public opposition. Key outcomes:
- An ordinance amending Ord. No. 5,978 to add a ban on all‑day parking of boats at the Golden Meadow Boat Launch (except for loading/unloading wharf) passed 8–0, 1 absence (SEG 648–666).
- An ordinance approving a lease between the Lafourche Parish School Board and Lafourche Parish Government for polling locations passed 8–0, 1 absence (SEG 667–682).
- Change Order No.1 for the alley door drainage improvements project (adding 61 calendar days) passed 8–0, 1 absence (SEG 920–931).
- Amendment No.1 to the LAHEAP agreement (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) was approved 8–0, 1 absence (SEG 933–944).
- A contract with the state Office of Public Health for the Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) FY2026 was approved 8–0, 1 absence (SEG 1040–1050).
- Agreements to address adjudicated properties with Thibodaux, Lockport and Golden Meadow were approved unanimously (SEG 1056–1097).
Votes were recorded as unanimous (where noted) except where the roll call recorded absences; no items in this group failed.
