McCauley addressed the board at her final meeting, reflecting on her time in office and thanking colleagues and residents. "It's been my honor to personally sworn in every elected official sitting at this table," she said, and added that she has "every confidence in all the wonderful staff who'll be taking on the new duties moving forward."
The meeting also included the swearing-in of John Galvin as Beecher's new police chief. Village leadership said Galvin had been working in the private sector for the prior year and a half and previously served as police chief in Country Club Hills. Galvin repeated the oath of office and pledged to "faithfully discharge the duties" of the office.
Following the swearing-in, the board took a short recess; the transcript shows the chief remained at the meeting and other attendees were free to leave.
