Polk County Board elects Matt McCoy chair, Mark Holmes vice chair; approves routine business

The Polk County Board of Supervisors voted to elect Matt McCoy as chairperson for calendar year 2026 and Mark Holmes as vice chair, approved routine agenda business and later voted to enter a closed session citing "section 21.51 a."

Board members approved the chair election (Resolution No. 2) after a roll-call vote that recorded three yes votes and two no votes. The board then approved the vice chair election (Resolution No. 3) on a 4–1 roll-call vote.
