Interim deputy administrator Chris Vipon presented the final numbers, saying the net levy is "$56,374,123 — 5.79% increase." The board adopted the levy and the total budget, which Vipon listed as $127,054,371, by motion and vote.
The board also approved levy resolutions for the county Housing and Redevelopment Authority and Community Development Authority (numbers in the meeting packet were listed as HRA approximately $1,100,000 and CDA $644,287) and authorized staff, if necessary, to make year‑end interfund loans from the general fund to county ditch funds that show deficit cash balances at Dec. 31. Staff said final ditch loan dollar amounts will be reported to the board in January after year‑end accounting is complete.
Why it matters: The adopted levy funds county operations, capital and special assessments for 2026. The board discussed the timing and practical need for interfund loans to keep ditch funds solvent while redeterminations and assessments are completed.
