Commission approves claims, schedules meetings; finance director to solicit insurance RFQs

Neil Ticek, who identified himself as finance director, told commissioners that the county’s local insurance agent has retired and that staff will issue requests for qualifications (RFQs) to local agencies rather than automatically assigning the county’s business to the agency that acquired the previous firm. He said the county will make a later decision on who will serve as the local insurance agent.
Speaker 2 announced upcoming commission meeting dates (Sept. 18 at 5:15 p.m., Sept. 25 at 2 p.m., and Oct. 10 at 2 p.m.) and adjourned the meeting at 2:14 p.m.
