Board confirms JCPC appointment, planning-board reappointments and selects NCACC delegate
Summary
The board appointed Vanessa Taylor to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, reappointed Allen Nelson and Blaine Holmes to the Planning Board, and named the chairman as voting delegate (Commissioner Griffin as alternate) for the NCACC annual conference.
Granville County commissioners approved several appointments and a delegate selection during the meeting.
On a motion and second, the board appointed Vanessa Taylor (recommended by DSS director Latoya Toussaint) to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC). The motion carried by voice vote.
The board also reappointed Allen Nelson to the Planning Board for District 1 and Blaine Holmes for District 5; both reappointments passed by voice vote.
Separately, the board selected the chairman as the county's voting delegate and Commissioner Griffin as the alternate for the 118th North Carolina Association of County Commissioners annual conference business session scheduled for Aug. 23, 2025. The motion to designate the chairman and alternate passed by voice vote.
