The Stark County Commission authorized several routine administrative measures including execution of joint powers agreements (JPAs) for elections, approved accounts payable and addressed park‑board items.
Auditor Karen presented JPAs covering elections with local school districts and cities (Dickinson, Richardson‑Taylor, South Hertz, Bellfield and municipal partners). Commissioners approved authorization to execute the agreements.
The board heard accounts‑payable items and a park board change order. Commissioner White moved to approve accounts payable; commissioners voted by roll call to pay invoices as presented. Commissioners discussed a separate park change order and agreed to handle that approval separately. The commission also agreed to contribute $2,500 — subject to the city’s approval — to hire SRF for a park trails grant application, with the county’s share to be charged to the county park or special projects account pending final accounting.
