The Madison County Board of Commissioners approved a slate of routine resolutions during the meeting’s consent portion. Items passed included: payment of county auditor invoices; an adjustment to the coroner’s budget; the sheriff’s 2025 annual fund reimbursements and related budget increases; a fund transfer for the Court of Common Pleas; an increase to the Lowell Library appropriations for online research expenses; second amendments to local agricultural easement purchase cooperative agreements with the Ohio Department of Agriculture (various years cited); a CDBG Neighborhood Revitalization grant appropriation increase; and a county memorandum of understanding intended to meet HB 4 requirements addressing child abuse and neglect.
Each resolution was moved, seconded and approved on roll call; the transcript records affirmative votes from commissioners identified in the roll call (record entries show repeated "Yes" responses). The meeting record also includes approvals of several additional grant budget items (including a CASA training account appropriation and a felony delinquency care and custody grant covering Jan. 1–June 30, 2026) and budget adjustments for the sheriff’s office and recorder.
The board did not debate these items at length on the record; staff characterized many as routine budget or grant adjustments that are included in the overall 2025 county budget process.
Next steps: standard implementation of approved budget transfers and grant expenditures as recorded by county auditor and department managers.
